Just after stepping off my flight to Germany, I was transported by a very handsome driver, *ahem the boyfriend* for a surprise visit to Rothenburg, Germany. As it was a surprise visit, I hadn't a clue what to expect.
The town is perfectly preserved and the city walls are still complete and intact which is very rare. You can enjoy walks along the city walls, well-worn stone under foot and view the town from above all the traditional tiled rooftops. The buildings are painted in a cheery array of colors, while golden shop signs poke out over the uneven, narrow streets.
For more posts on Germany, be sure to visit the Destinations section, and of course check back on the blog soon. This gal is a new expat resident of Hannover, Germany and I plan to visit every beer garden and adorable town in the country.
Have to keep those goals lofty, right?
