I enjoy a bar as much as the next person, but the Shoppers and Sephora bars that serves up beauty products? I could be there for a while.
I wouldn't go as far as to call myself a beauty blogger, but I would put myself in the 'girl who has worn makeup for a time now' category, and over that time, along with a few chats with the beauty bar ladies, I've developed some favourites.
Let's start from the beginning; moisturizer. This Canadian has braved many bitterly cold winters, and what does that mean? It means a whole lot of money spent on moisturizers.
The Estee Lauder Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme is light and creamy and soaks into your skin with just a swish of your finger. Most importantly, there are no dry spots, and flakyness happening during the day after putting this on in the morning.
Often times wearing makeup for a full day would result in spots, which would result in more makeup... Viscous cycle. Clinique's products made the whole issue non-existent... unless I forgot to take my makeup off one night, which I can only blame myself for.
To add to the moisture department, the Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum with SPF 15 is the perfect mix of makeup and moisture. It evens out the colour on your face, while keeping things looking natural, and that's really what we're all going for, right?
I pop the Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder on top of my tinted moisturizer when I am really hoping to make my skin look all smooth and flawless. It stays on all day, and doesn't clump in any lines. There's no need to keep it with you, just put it on in the morning and wipe it off at night.
Yeah, we're talking soap! Ever come out of the shower or wash your hands and then need to put on moisturizer because your skin feels all itchy? I love the Dove Beauty Bar for Deep Moisture because I have never had that issue again since using it. It's true love in a little pink soap.
