Hali-Burton

If you follow me on Instagram you'll already have a fair idea what I got up to on the weekend. If you don't already follow me, you should. End of story. You'll always be one step ahead of what will be on the blog!

A group of sorority sisters and I headed away for the weekend to Haliburton for a cottage get-away.

It was great to catch up with the girls after a month apart.

On the way up one of the girls told us about a famous burger spot called Weber's just off the highway. Weber's became so popular, but only had a location on one side of the highway, so the company had to build a foot bridge across the highway, so Weber's customers could safely cross the highway to enjoy their meal.

Now if anyone has a burger making system down - its Webers. Employees come greet you in line which is out the door, take your order, and have you pay so by the time you get inside, you grab your burger and go!

This girl was lightening fast at dressing burgers, exactly to your order specifications!

Webers not only has regular picnic tables, but also multiple train cars turned into dining areas.

My burger was delish! Definitely worth the stop.

Once we successfully reached the cottage, it was time to relax, catch up, and enjoy the view.

As you may be beginning to realize from my million photos of the lake throughout the two days, I LOVE being in cottage country by the lake.

While I love to travel to amazing far away places, my idea of the perfect day is up in cottage country, sitting in a Muskoka chair on a dock in front of a lake. Put a glass of wine in my hand, place some of my best friends around me, and that is what I call pure happiness.

On the drive back, typical to Canada, we drove past a moose who was just hanging out in the woods on the side of the road. After pulling a quick U-turn, I got some snaps of him for you!

Thanks for hosting us at your cottage for the weekend Mik!
